My Review: Angelology by Danielle Trussoni was intriguing- angel lore fascinates me. We all owe my angel fascination to Belinda. The book was a little slow to start, but I suspect the next book will get even better. As I am not feeling like myself today and don't have much time, I'm going to do this review a little differently. So, check out the awesome Angelology synopsis from Goodreads.com below and then some opinion afterwards ;)

Tell me this book doesn't peek your curiosity?! Just the summary sounds so good. I felt like the author was having a hard time developing the secondary characters and I wasn't really into the third party narratives. Those narratives read flat and even with a brilliant storyline, you get a little lost in the telling. She made up for this though in her vivid descriptions of the world she created for her readers. I found it very easy to visualize everything.
Even though I only think of this book as a '3 Robot' book, the second half of the book did keep me flipping pages and I will read the next. I would recommend this book to any of my friends- though it will come down to personal preference. I'm into the awesome blend of fact and fiction- those into Dan Brown will dig this book. Trussoni put a great twist on an interesting subject matter. I have total faith that this author will bring it with the next installment.

ReplyDeleteI do want to read this book. But it is going to take me a while to get to it. My TBR list is too long. But, you're review was great as it always is.
I keep hearing mixed reviews on this. After much deliberation, I've finally added it to my "to read" list, but I don't know when I'll get to it.

ReplyDeleteIf you like this, you should also check out a book that interestingly enough, came out about 3 weeks BEFORE Danielle Trusson's book — and it's non-fiction. An autobiography.
Angels on My Stage: The True Story of Eddie Benitez will have the hair on the back of your neck standing up, and you'll recognize the power of angelic music in his claims that his famous guitar compositions just flow to him from angels! Along with healing powers and teachings from angels.
Add it to the angel section of your books. It's like Danielle could have used it for research, except it just came out right before hers!
