Shannon's Thoughts:

Spell Bound in the third book in the Hex Hall series.  You can read my Hex Hall review here and my Demonglass review here.  If you've read my other reviews, you know I love this series.  I love quippy, sarcastic protagonists who aren't afraid to take charge.  Sophie is just about one of the funniest narrators I've read in a long time.  Spell Bound is a fairly exciting conclusion to the series and the action is almost non-stop.  There were a few times I thought certain plot elements were a little too convenient and I thought "c'mon Hawkins, don't be afraid to go there".  But overall, it was still super fun, fast paced and exciting.  I think the second book, Demonglass, is still my favorite but I thought Spell Bound was a great conclusion and I am pretty happy with how the story ended.  Some of it may have been a little too perfectly wrapped up, but I'll forgive it because overall this was an excellent, cohesive series.
