Shannon's Thoughts:

Find Me Where the Water Ends is the third and finale book in the So Close To You series, a light sci-fi/time travel/conspiracy theory series with a healthy dose of romance.  Going into the third book, I was at a "take it or leave it" point.  I didn't dislike the series.  It was kind of fun, in an easy and inane way, but I wasn't very invested in it.  The finale is very much like the rest of the series, though it felt a little more "by the numbers" than the previous too and the plot points started to feel a little more stretched out by this point.  Part of the problem is the fun characters from the previous books only make small cameos as the finale book tackles the future.  I preferred when the series was time traveling into the past personally.  But considering how quickly the story moves along, there isn't much time to really worry about plot holes or character developmental.  However, the ending was satisfying in a sweet and kind of cheesy way, even if I didn't totally understand how they got to that point.  I find I don't have much to say about this book.  I rate this book how I rate my morning oatmeal:  bland, not my first choice for breakfast, but not completely unpalatable either.
