About the Author:
I began writing the way so many writers do—the moment I learned to wield a pencil. But even as a child, I didn't write "kid" stories. I preferred something more dramatic. Something that didn't include Dick, Jane, and a dog named Spot. I wanted my characters to be named Dracula and my dogs to have names like White Fang or Cujo. I'll always have my parents to thank for that. They never censored my reading material (though I suspect that if they had truly known what was between the covers of some of the books, they'd have been a little more careful,) so when other girls my age were reading Laura Ingalls Wilder and Judy Blume, I was immersing myself in Stephen King and Dean Koontz.
Later, after I'd joined the Air Force and was in dire need of something to read between shifts at the weather station, I continued to read horror, but I'd branched out into fantasy, and then, finally, romance (though I admit I went kicking and screaming to the latter.)
Turned out that I loved romance! So I started writing it, but again, my style and voice leaned toward the dark, paranormal side. Fortunately for me, paranormal romance, as a sub-genre, was booming. I let my imagination fly, and soon I'd sold a series of dark, sexy paranormal romances to Grand Central Publishing.
I still read a lot of horror, science fiction, and fantasy, and in fact, one of my all time favorite books about writing is On Writing, by my favorite childhood horror author, Stephen King. If you're an author or a reader, I highly recommend this book for an insight into an author's mind—which can sometimes be a very scary place.

Interview:
Hi, Larissa! I just finished Sin Undone- loved it! Can you tell us a little bit about Sin, Con and what inspired their relationship?
Yay! Glad you loved the book! (And thanks for having me!) Okay, Sin and Con...well, they're both very different, but at the same time, they have a lot in common. Both are loners, though Con does tend to be at least outwardly social. He's out to have fun. But both of them have a hard time getting attached to anyone, so they have a lot to learn as they grow closer. As to what inspired their relationship, well, I have to admit that I was a bit Sin-like for a long time, and so was my husband, so our relationship inspired Sin and Con just a bit!
Con is such a beautiful character, probably my favorite. Did any of your characters pose as more of a challenge than the others for you?
Thank you! I really loved writing Con. He was different from the other heroes I've written, and it was a challenge to make sure he could fit in with those very dominant Sem brothers! :) As far as challenges, I'd have to say that I had the hardest time with Idess. Trying to balance her angel self with the wild streak kept me on my toes!
If Sin Undone had a soundtrack, what songs would you choose?
Hmm...well, you got a bit of a taste of it in the book itself, with Bodies, by Drowning Pool. I also think Pain, by Three Days Grace, Bad Moon Rising, by Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Remedy, by Seether, would all fit very well.
I know you're a huge animal advocate and it makes me so happy to see you provide your readers with great facts on your website. So, how many pets do you have? Will they ever make an appearance as one of the Four Horsemen's pets? ;)
I only have one pet right now, a cat we rescued in Virginia when her owners moved away and left her. You might see her in one of the books. :) I do tend to give my characters pets, because I've always felt that a man who loves animals is a keeper. If a guy can show compassion to furry little critters that are dependent on humans, he can show compassion to his mate and children.
What comes next? Any other releases or works in progress that you're excited about? And thank you for your time!
Up next will be the first book in the Demonica spinoff series, the Lords of Deliverance. The book is called Eternal Rider, and you'll meet the hero, Ares, in Sin Undone. It's scheduled for next March, and I can't wait! Shortly after that, the last book in the Sydney Croft ACRO series (written with Stephanie Tyler) will release, and I'm super thrilled about that one -- it's my favorite of all the books.
